Dennis R. Sheehan Dennis R. Sheehan is a senior advisor to Financial Technology Ventures and an adjunct professor at the graduate school of Adelphi University. Until January 2004, Dennis served as the President and CEO as well as a member of the Board of Directors of The BISYS Group, Inc. Dennis also held other leadership positions at BISYS including Senior Vice President of Finance, Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, President and Chief Operating Officer since the time he joined them in 1995. While CEO at the BISYS Group, he also served on the Listed Company Advisory Committee to the New York Stock Exchange. Prior to working with BISYS Dennis was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Concord Holding Corporation. During that time, he played a major role in taking Concord public and arranging its sale to The BISYS Group. He has also held several leadership positions with The Equitable Life Assurance Corporation including President and Chief Executive Officer with Equico Securities and as Chief Financial Officer for the Asset Management Group for PaineWebber. Previously Dennis has worked with SCM Corporation and KPMG Peat Marwick. Dennis holds an MBA from New York University and a bachelor degree from Iona College. Allen J. Gula, Jr. Al is an accomplished financial services professional, having accumulated over 30 years experience in the U.S.and global financial services industry. He has held executive positions in e-commerce, payments, technology, operations, strategic business planning, and mergers and acquisitions integration. Most recently Al is a senior executive at Greater Bay Bancorp, one of the Bay area’s largest independent bank holding companies, as well as a consultant and board member to several privately held companies where he assists with strategic development, operational scalability and financing. Prior to Greater Bay Bancorp, Al was Co-President at Franklin Resources, a $650 billion+ global asset management company, Executive VP at KeyCorp, Chairman and CEO of Key Services Corporation, and a board member at KeyBank N.A., KeyBank USA, Electronic Payment Services, Inktomi and MasterCard USA. Together with his late wife, Lynn, Al founded The Marilyn B. Gula Mountains of Hope Foundation (www.mountainsofhopefoundation.org), a non-profit Foundation dedicated to funding the diagnosis and treatment of advanced breast cancer research. Al received an MBA in Management from Case-Western Reserve University. David McMillan David is Chief Operating Officer, Aviva UK General Insurance. He joined Aviva (formerly Norwich Union) in November 2002 as director of partnerships (banking). David was appointed partnerships director in August 2004 and had full responsibility for the partnerships distribution channel generating in excess of £2bn premium income. In 2006 he joined the Aviva UKGI Executive as customer service director responsible for claims and customer service operations including supply chain. In November 2007, David was appointed Chief Operating Officer with responsibility for delivering end to end customer operations for Aviva UKGI and RAC. In addition, he has been chairman of Aviva Global Services (AGS) and a Non-Executive Director of Aviva Health. Prior to this he spent 12 years as director of management consultancy with PWC. The role involved leading projects spanning mergers and acquisitions, retail banking, organisational strategy and change. In 1998 he was seconded from PWC to Barclays Bank as finance director of wealth management during the formation of this £1 billion turnover business. He holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants. Dave Gubbay Dave Gubbay is a partner of Falconhead Capital LLC, New York, a private equity investment firm. He is also a director of ExlService.com (India) Ltd. He has served in various capacities with Whitehall Insurance Group between 1982 and 1996, as Chairman & CEO (since 1989), and as President of Life Partners Group (since 1995)—a NYSE listed company with assets over $5.5 billion which was sold to Conseco Inc in 1996 in a transaction valued at over $900 million. During 1997-98, he led the corporate development and mergers & acquisitions of Fortis Inc., sourcing over $14 billion of transactions and completing over $4 billion of public and private transactions. In 1999, he joined Norwegian Cruise Lines and spearheaded company’s expansion plans and lead the shore-side operations. NCL was sold in a hostile takeover in 2000 in a transaction valued at $1.9 billion. Beginning in 2000, Gubbay acquired and built the business of Digital Seas International Inc, an Internet-services provider serving the maritime and cruise industry. DSI was sold to Maritime Telecommunications Networks, Inc in a private transaction. In early 2001, he was recruited to Conseco Inc. by Gary C. Wendt, ex Chairman and C.E.O. of G.E.C.C, as Executive Vice President, Corporate and Strategic Business Development as a key senior executive. He has served on the boards of numerous public and private companies in various industries. Joel Friedman Joel Friedman was President of Accenture’s Business Process Outsourcing organization until his retirement in August 2005. He was responsible for overseeing Accenture’s portfolio of business process outsourcing (BPO) businesses as well as fueling new innovation and growth in BPO. He was a member of Accenture’s Board of Directors until February 2005 and also served on the company’s Executive Committee and Global Leadership Council. Over the course of his 34-year career with Accenture, Friedman held a variety of senior leadership roles. He was a partner in Accenture’s Corporate Development organization, served as managing general partner of the company’s former venture capital business, Accenture Technology Ventures, led Accenture’s banking and capital markets program, and was instrumental in founding and managing Accenture’s strategy consulting practice. Joel is a member of the Board of Directors of SVB Financial Group (and Silicon Valley Bank), NeuStar, Endeca Technologies, and the Advisory Boards of FT Ventures, Corefino and EXL Service. He also serves on the boards of directors of Junior Achievement of the Bay Area and Community Gatepath, a Northern California non-profit agency serving adults and children with disabilities. Joel holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from Yale University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
