Rohit Kapoor President & Chief Executive Officer Rohit Kapoor is the President & Chief Executive Officer of EXL. Since the Company started its operations in 1999, he has held various roles including CFO and President & Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining EXL, Rohit was a business head at Deutsche Bank and led a marketing team that serviced clients in Europe, the Middle East and the Indian Sub-continent. He also managed the venture capital and private equity investments of several Ultra High Net Worth clients in start-up companies both in the U.S. and Indian TMT sectors. Rohit successfully raised several rounds of venture capital funding for various companies and he was also involved in the structuring of their investments. Earlier, he worked for eight years with Bank of America - five of which were in Private Banking in New York and three in Corporate Banking in India. Rohit holds a B.Tech from IIT Delhi and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. Pavan Bagai Chief Operating OfficerPavan Bagai is the head of enterprise wide business operations and service delivery across all the business lines and geographies. He is responsible for managing operations for Outsourcing, Transformation and EXL LifePRO® businesses and leading global technology and infrastructure. In the last eight years at EXL, Pavan has played a leading role in operations and several strategic initiatives including the inception of Transformation business and capability development through inorganic and organic means. Pavan joined EXL after a 17-year career at Bank of America where he held senior management roles in corporate banking, finance, capital markets and trading in various markets across Asia and Europe. Pavan is an alumnus of St. Stephen's College, Delhi and holds an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. Bill Bloom Executive Vice President, Global Client ServicesBill Bloom leads all client-facing functions including sales and marketing and client management across all the business lines. Bill is also responsible for ensuring growth of company’s overall business through organic means, creating a culture of business development and providing executive leadership for EXL’s corporate strategy. Before joining EXL, Bill held the title of Executive Vice President, Insurance Operations and Information Technology of Travelers, responsible for policyholder and agency services as well as technology across the enterprise. He joined Travelers in 2003 as the company's Chief Information Officer. In 2006, he was given the additional responsibility of Insurance Operations which includes the policyholder and agency service centers, underwriting support and policy processing, agency operations, and billing. Bill joined Travelers from Accenture, where he was a Partner in their Financial Services Practice, focusing on large insurance clients. He has also served as a Vice President at Hartford Life responsible first for Business Technology Services and then for the National Accounts business in the Employee Benefits Division. Bill holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the State University of New York at Albany. Vishal Chhibbar Chief Financial Officer Vishal has over 20 years of professional experience in finance. Prior to EXL, he was with GE Capital since 1998 in various senior leadership roles. Since 2005, Vishal has served as the Regional Head, Group Financial Planning for Strategy and Treasury for GE Capital, Australia and New Zealand. In 2004 and 2005, Vishal was Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital, South Korea. From 1998 to 2004, Vishal was the Chief Financial Officer for GE Capital, Indonesia and Malaysia. Prior to GE Capital, Vishal has worked for American Express Bank and Xerox in India. Vishal is a Chartered Accountant and an Associate Member of CPA, Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from DAV College, Dehradun. Rembert de Villa Head of Insurance and Health Care and Chief Strategy Officer As Global Head of Client Management, Rembert de Villa is responsible for driving growth and profitability of existing accounts, client relationship management and client satisfaction. Prior to his current role, Rembert was Managing Principal and Head of EXL’s Transformation services for three years. His global consulting experience has been primarily in the financial services industry. Rembert joined EXL from MasterCard where he was Global Practice Leader for Strategic Services. He has also served as the head of North American financial services practice for Capgemini Ernst & Young and as partner of A.T. Kearney’s financial institutions group. His early consulting career was spent with Andersen Consulting (now Accenture). Rembert holds an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management. He also completed Columbia University’s Senior Executive Program and attended the postgraduate program in Business Economics at the University of Bonn as a Konrad Adenauer Foundation scholar. Vikas Bhalla Head of OutsourcingAs Head of Outsourcing, Vikas Bhalla leads all outsourcing operations across EXL’s global delivery centers. Vikas is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has been with EXL for the last eight years. During this time he has spearheaded multiple client operations across the Insurance, Utilities and Financial Services verticals. Vikas has also held several leadership roles within the company in the areas of migrations, process consulting, Six Sigma, quality compliance, certifications, information security and business continuity. Vikas has over sixteen years of work experience and prior to EXL, he worked with GE, India and Shriram Fibres in various management positions. Vikas is an engineering graduate from Institute of Technology, Banaras Hindu University.
Amit Shashank General Counsel and Corporate SecretaryAmit Shashank is the General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of EXL. Prior to joining EXL in June 2004, Amit was an associate at the law firm of Shearman & Sterling since January 1997 and worked on a number of international corporate transactions including debt and equity securities offerings and project financings. Amit is a member of the New York Bar and the New York State Bar Association. After graduating from Delhi University (Shri Ram College of Commerce) with a B.A. (Hons) Economics degree, Amit attended Oxford University as a Rhodes Scholar and graduated with an M.A. degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics and subsequently attended The University of Michigan Law School, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Michigan Journal of International Law, and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree.
Sanjay Gupta Global Head of Human ResourcesAs Global Head of Human Resources, Sanjay Gupta is responsible for developing and implementing EXL’s human resources strategy to support the company’s business objectives. Prior to assuming this role, Sanjay was the Senior Vice President and Head of Human Resources for the Outsourcing Business at EXL. Sanjay joined EXL in 2000 and since then, has held several senior leadership roles in human resources and client operations. Sanjay has 24 years of experience in the areas of operations management, finance, and human resource functions. Before EXL, Sanjay was with American Express at their Financial Center in India. He has also worked with India Today and Indian Oil Corporation in their accounting and corporate finance functions. Sanjay is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Clarence T. Schmitz Executive Sponsor, Finance & Accounting Center of ExcellenceClarence T. Schmitz is Executive Sponsor of EXL’s Finance & Accounting Center of Excellence. Prior to this, he served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Outsource Partners International. He was a co-founder of Golenberg Schmitz Capital Partners, a Los Angeles merchant banking firm that focused on early stage businesses and technologies with investments and strategic counsel. From 1995 to 2000, he served as Executive Vice President and CFO of Jefferies Group, Inc. Clarence was also a Director of Jefferies & Company, Inc. and chaired the credit committee. His responsibilities also included serving on the executive committee and the underwriting approval committee. His career includes 25 years with KPMG, with numerous leadership positions in the United States and overseas, as well as serving on the board of directors and the management committee. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Case Western Reserve University.
Kishore Mirchandani Global Head, Finance & Accounting Center of ExcellenceKishore Mirchandani is Global Head of Finance and Accounting Center of Excellence. Prior to this, Kishore was President of Outsource Partners International and one of the founders of the company. He has more than 25 years of Finance and Accounting experience, which includes serving as Chief Financial Officer of a multinational apparel and textile company and as a partner with a large public accounting firm. He was a partner with MLZ Partners LLP, a Manhattan based accounting and management consulting firm, and also served with Deloitte & Touché, London. He is an active member of American Institute of CPAs and the New York Society of CPAs. Kishore has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Chemistry from City University, London, UK, and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales.
