Rohit Kapoor
Vice Chairman and CEO

Rohit Kapoor is Vice Chairman, CEO and a member of the board of directors. An industry pioneer, Rohit co-founded EXL in April 1999 and has led the firm’s rapid evolution from a provider of operational support services to a global leader in analytics and digital solutions.

In the early stages of EXL, Rohit was instrumental in achieving several acquisitions that established the company’s capabilities and spurred strong avenues of growth. He led the company’s IPO in 2006, and has managed consistent expansion and fiscal performance that outpaced the S&P 400. He also leads EXL’s sustainability initiatives, focused on the continued resilience of the company and ongoing talent development.

Prior to EXL, Rohit served in various roles at Deutsche Bank private banking division. He started his career at Bank of America, where he held several management positions throughout the U.S. and Asia. Rohit has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi and a Master of Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.

Rohit also sat on the Board of CA Technologies from 2011 to 2018. He became the lead director of the CA Technologies board before being acquired by Broadcom. Rohit has served as the Chairperson of the National Association of Software and Services Companies or NASSCOM BPM Council. Rohit is a director of the American India Foundation and a board member for Pratham USA Tri-State chapter, a non-profit organization.

Anita M. Mahon
Executive Vice President and Business Head Healthcare

Anita Mahon leads our global health business and is a member of the Executive Committee. Anita stepped into this role in 2022, where she is responsible for managing EXL’s second largest industry vertical, serving healthcare payers, providers, pharmacy benefit managers and clients in the life sciences industry.

Anita joined EXL in 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Growth and Strategy Officer. In this role, she led the development of a strategic plan that executed on EXL’s overall growth goals and worked closely with the sales and business teams to ensure the implementation of EXL’s long-term strategy and drive the next phase of growth for EXL.

Prior to EXL, Anita served as Vice President, Data, Strategy & Portfolio Officer for IBM Watson Health. While at Watson Health, Anita also served as Chief Marketing Officer and led value-based-care strategy and marketing.

Anita joined IBM with its acquisition of Truven Health Analytics in 2016. As Chief Strategy Officer at Truven, Anita led the definition and implementation of the company’s corporate growth strategy and development. Prior to joining Truven Health in 2006, she served as executive director for a business that is now part of Ericsson.

Anita earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia Business School, a Master of Science degree in computer science from Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Science in mathematics and computer science from Manhattan College.

Maurizio Nicolelli
Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer

Maurizio Nicolelli joined EXL in January 2020 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and is a member of the Executive Committee. Maurizio brings extensive financial, operational and leadership experience to his role as head of EXL’s finance function.

Prior to EXL, Maurizio was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Casa Systems. Previously, he served 23 years at FactSet Research Systems, where he was Senior Vice President, Principal and CFO. During his tenure, FactSet Research Systems grew from $30 million in revenue to $1.4 billion. Maurizio had global responsibility for finance, accounting, tax, treasury and investor relations while managing the Market Metrics division until the sale of the business in 2016. He was also an integral leader in FactSet’s mergers and acquisition efforts with more than 20 acquisitions during his tenure.

Maurizio holds a bachelor of arts degree from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in business administration from St. John’s University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Ajay Ayyappan
Executive Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary

Ajay Ayyappan is EXL’s General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, and a member of the Executive Committee. He serves as global head of the legal function with responsibility for all legal matters, and leads a team of more than 25 attorneys and other legal professionals across EXL operations.

Ajay joined EXL in 2007 as an Assistant General Counsel, and immediately prior to his current role he was Deputy General Counsel of the company. He has more than 20 years of experience across corporate governance, M&A, commercial contracting, securities, regulatory compliance and litigation. Ajay started his career in 2002 as a Corporate Associate at the New York offices of Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP.

Ajay holds a Juris Doctor from the Fordham University School of Law where he served as an editor of the Law Review, and a bachelor’s degree from Binghamton University.

Vikas Bhalla
Executive Vice President and Business Head, Insurance

Vikas Bhalla leads EXL’s global insurance business and EXL's international markets and geographies. He is a member of EXL’s Executive Committee and chair of EXL’s Operating Committee.

Over the last eight years, Vikas has led the growth and expansion of EXL’s largest industry vertical. Under his leadership, EXL’s Insurance business has become a global, strategic transformation partner for leading life & annuities and property & casualty clients in the U.S, U/K, Europe and Asia Pacific.

After joining EXL in 2001, Vikas helped EXL establish its process excellence, transformation and consulting organizations. As global delivery head for EXL’s operations management business from 2009 to 2013, Vikas led EXL’s entry into new delivery locations in the Philippines, South Africa, Eastern and Central Europe and U.S.

Vikas has led several strategic initiatives including the launch of platforms and asset-based services, and value-driven transformation. He is leading EXL’s move to a “Work from Anywhere” future operating model.

Vikas has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi.

Vivek Jetley
Executive Vice President and Business Head, Analytics

Vivek Jetley is the Head of EXL Analytics, a global leader in data & analytics, serving clients in the U.S., U.K., Europe, Australia and Asia Pacific. In this role, Vivek leads one of the world’s largest groups of data scientists, offering advanced analytics and AI expertise, proprietary data assets, and enterprise data management capability to drive measurable business outcomes for industry leaders in banking, financial services, insurance, healthcare, utilities, media, sports and retail.

Vivek joined EXL in 2006 through the acquisition of Inductis, a specialized analytics consulting firm where Vivek was a partner. He has more than 20 years of experience in strategy and management consulting, and he has broad experience in using analytics for marketing, risk management, new product development, operations and financial management. At EXL, Vivek has led several key initiatives, including the development of enterprise strategy, a strategic deal team model, key partnerships, investments and business acquisitions. He started his career as a consultant with Mitchell Madison Group.

Vivek holds a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering and a master’s of business administration from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta.

Narasimha Kini
Executive Vice President and Head of EXL’s Emerging Business

Narasimha Kini is the global leader for EXL’s emerging business unit and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, Kini leads EXL’s financial & accounting practice and a range of EXL services and solutions to clients in banking, financial services, utilities, media, retail and travel and transportation. Kini has led the development of EXL’s data-driven finance solutions, finance transformation and risk advisory services.

Kini has more than 20 years of experience in CFO services outsourcing, public accounting, consulting, financial management and risk advisory services. Prior to joining EXL, he worked with two of the Big four accounting firms in their business assurance and consulting divisions where he served clients in financial services, manufacturing, retail, and the energy sector.

Kini is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant licensee candidate. His other credentials include CISA, CIA, CFM and CMA. He has also successfully completed qualifying exams and is a licensee candidate for CISM and CISSP. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mangalore University. Kini is an industry recognized thought leader and has been a speaker on leading edge topics.

Pamela Harrison
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

 

Pamela Harrison is EXL’s Chief Human Resources Officer and member of the Executive Committee. In this role, Pamela is responsible for developing and implementing the next phase of EXL’s talent strategy to help the company achieve its long-term goal of creating superior business impact for its clients.

Pamela has an impressive background in leading large and diverse HR teams. She spent nearly five years as executive vice president of human resources at Genworth Financial, a S&P 400 American insurance company where she managed a large and diverse HR team while also acting as a strategic advisor to the chief executive officer. Pamela served in a leadership capacity at Latham & Watkins, a global law firm as director of human resources of business transformation, where she developed and executed HR strategies at the country, regional and global levels with a focus on talent development.

Pamela earned her bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware.

Vishal Chhibbar
Executive Vice President and Chief Growth and Strategy Officer

Vishal Chhibbar is EXL’s Chief Growth and Strategy Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, Vishal is responsible for spearheading EXL's growth initiatives, overseeing strategy, marketing, brand elevation initiatives, sales governance, mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Vishal was previously the chief financial officer at Brillio, a leading digital technology consulting and solutions company, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the organization through unprecedented organic growth of 90% in just over two years. Prior to that, he was the president and chief financial officer of EPIQ, a global legal tech-enabled service leader. Vishal was EXL's chief financial officer for over 10 years from 2009-2019. Under his leadership, EXL developed a disciplined global financial strategy supported by best-in-class systems and procedures that led to significant growth in revenue, market cap and a strong balance sheet. In addition, Vishal was also the head of Finance and Accounting at EXL.

Vishal has vast experience leading fast-growing digital solutions companies in highly volatile market environments and has overseen all aspects of strategy, mergers and acquisitions and financial planning initiatives. He has also served in various financial leadership roles across companies such as GE Capital, American Express Bank, and Xerox, and directed initiatives in Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Indonesia, Malaysia, the United States and India.

Vishal is a Chartered Accountant and a member of CPA Australia.

Baljinder Singh
Executive Vice President, Global Chief Information Officer, and Head of Enterprise Digital Transformation

Baljinder is a member of the Executive Committee and spearheads the technology, digital transformation, and cyber security strategy for client solutions, providing leading-edge enterprise digital capabilities across the business and enterprise value chains. These advancements have been pivotal to EXL's progression as a data- and AI-led organization by leveraging the power of cloud, advanced analytics, data-driven insights, generative AI, intelligent automation, and emerging technologies.

Baljinder joined EXL as part of the founding management team and has taken on various leadership roles, making significant contributions through delivering transformational impact and growth.

He also leads the Solutions & IP Center of Excellence focused on building world-class capabilities at scale, cloud, cyber security, and infrastructure development, as well as the environment sustainability charter.

He brings more than 25 years of global leadership and multifaceted experience across technology, business transformation, digital solutions, and platform development, as well as intellectual property, risk management, and information security. His strategic business acumen, along with a proven track record in delivering leading edge business technology solutions and strong people and client leadership, has helped him position EXL as a leader in digital, analytics, and AI-driven innovation.

Baljinder has a bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering and holds accreditations from Kellogg School of Management and the Indian School of Business. He contributes significantly to industry initiatives and has been named in the CIO 100 Hall of Fame as an industry leader that drives strategic business value through innovation and technology.

Andy Logani
Executive Vice President and Chief Digital Officer

Andy Logani is EXL’s Chief Digital Officer and a member of the Executive Committee. In this role, Andy leads the development of EXL’s digital strategy and execution, including implementing cutting-edge technologies, creating new digital products and services, and optimizing the company’s existing digital channels. He also ensures that EXL’s digital initiatives drive the overall business strategy to accelerate growth.

Logani joined EXL in 2001 focused initially on the company’s insurance business, where he played a major role in leveraging digital and analytics solutions to build the life and annuity insurance business into an award-winning industry leader. In April 2023, he was tapped to lead EXL’s digital business unit tasked with augmenting EXL's capabilities in cloud, data management, analytics, and generative AI to revolutionize customer experience, enhance operational efficiency, and improve profitability.

Andy has over 25 years of experience managing large businesses, operating model transformation, and consulting work. He has expertise across a broad set of domain areas, including shared services, process automation, analytics, and artificial intelligence.

Andy holds a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Delhi University and a Master of Business Administration in international business, finance, and marketing. He earned a Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Motorola University and is an alum of Harvard Business School’s executive education program.

Vikas Sharma
Senior Vice President & Banking Practice Lead

 

Vikas focuses on integrating advanced analytics and AI with data-driven workflows and human-in-the-loop solutions to unlock exponential value for banking and capital market clients. He leads a team of analytics and operations experts who specialize in harnessing the power of data to create faster insights and better value for clients. His responsibilities involve setting the strategic direction for the business, incubating new capabilities and solutions, converting new clients, expanding market share with existing customers and managing end-to-end responsibility for service delivery. With over 19 years of experience, Vikas brings a blend of analytical expertise, strategic thinking and leadership experience.

Vikas joined EXL in 2006 when Inductis, a strategy and analytics company serving the banking and financial services industry, was acquired by EXL. He has helped grow the Banking Analytics business at EXL from a niche practice to an innovation powerhouse within the industry.

Vikas holds a master's in business administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.

Vikas Kapoor
Senior Vice President & Global Head of P&C Insurance Business

Vikas is the global lead for the property and casualty insurance business. He has led the enterprise charter for expansion into Asia-Pacific region with new clients starting in Australia and New Zealand and now expanding to other Asia-Pacific countries.  

In this role, he is responsible for overall business maximizing revenue, profitability, client satisfaction, digital and data-led transformation, business impact and human capital development. Vikas has led the enterprise charter for expansion into Asia-Pacific region with new clients starting in Australia and New Zealand and more recently onboarded client operations in new delivery locations in Cebu, Philippines and George, South Africa. Vikas has implemented digital solutions, particularly smart data signals, across insurance carriers in Australia and New Zealand, U.K. and U.S. 

Vikas has more than 27 years of professional experience and joined EXL at its inception in 1999. In his tenure with EXL, he has played a variety of leadership roles in operations, transitions, consulting and transformation. He has successfully executed several client programs with a proven record of building strong operational teams and creating capability within the organization. 

Vikas has a bachelor’s degree in statistics from Delhi University and a master’s of business administration from the Institute of Management & Technology, India. 

Jodi Elkins-Desforges
Senior Vice President, Global Head of Growth & Sales Acceleration

 

Jodi works closely with EXL’s business unit growth leaders to accelerate top line growth for EXL.  She is responsible for providing strategic vision and leadership to scale go-to-market activities and enable front-end teams. 

Jodi works with the business growth leaders and is responsible for driving growth initiatives across the organization in areas such as communities of practice, large deal culture and cadence, best practice sharing, incentives and sales governance to build a best-in-class sales model. 

Prior to joining EXL, Jodi was Managing Director of global technology sales excellence at Accenture. She oversaw sales strategy and enablement, encompassing technology groups, cloud services, security, ecosystem partners and global geographic regions. 

For more than 22 years, Jodi has dedicated her career to collaborating with major clients at Accenture. Her expertise spans various areas, including sales strategy, planning, forecasting and operations. Key areas of focus included aligning business challenges with inventive solutions and orchestrating origination and strategy development sessions. Jodi has a wealth of experience in shaping, executing, and guiding impactful transformations. She has successfully led initiatives in employee experience, journey management, and new skilling.

Jodi has a bachelor's degree in Humanities, with minors in Business and Fine Arts from Washington State University.   

Sherri Walsh
Senior Vice President and General Manager, Clinical Services and Chief Nursing Officer

Sherri Walsh leads EXL’s clinical services for the healthcare marketplace and is the Chief Nursing Officer. She is a member of the Operating Committee. In this role, Sherri guides and shapes EXL’s strategy, capabilities and operational excellence for clinical care standards and how they are delivered to clients.

Sherri joined EXL in 2019. She has more than 25 years of industry expertise in healthcare, holding leadership positions in several leading healthcare organizations spanning the provider, payer, and PBM markets. Sherri has extensive experience in running global and U.S. operations, clinical product development and management, and enabling capabilities that drive efficient, consumer friendly solutions that bridge the gap between business, clinical, technology and client needs.

Sherri also has a passion for giving back to the community. She was a Volunteer Firefighter/Assistant Fire Chief for her community for more than 20 years, served on the board of directors for a leading women’s leadership organization, and continues to support her local community in diverse roles.

Sherri is a Registered Nurse and holds a master of business administration from Cardinal Stritch University.

Mike Toma
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, Insurance

Mike Toma is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer for EXL’s Insurance business and a member of the Operating Committee. Mike stepped into this role in 2022, where he leads EXL’s digital strategy, innovation and product incubation programs and is responsible for delivering a portfolio of innovative and market-leading products and solutions.

Mike has more than 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and a Fortune 500 technology executive in the U.S. and international markets. He has a track record of leading and leveraging disruptive technology trends and using innovation to lead business and technology transformations to drive business growth.

Mike joined EXL in 2016 after 13 years with ADP, where he held multiple senior executive roles leading ADP’s International product and technology organizations in Europe, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions and serving as CTO for ADP, leading the digital transformation of its cloud solutions.

Bhavna Newle Chopra
Senior Vice President in Operations Management

Bhavna Newle Chopra joined EXL in 2006 and is a leader in EXL’s operations management organization, and a member of the Operating Committee.

Bhavna is currently responsible for leading strategic initiatives that deliver continuous improvement on operational parameters, including client relationships, workforce planning and optimization, and Six Sigma-based process improvement. A certified Green Belt, she has held several cross-functional leadership positions at EXL, and has successfully led large teams leveraging technology and process redesign to deliver financial results and organizational resiliency.

Prior to EXL, she held leadership positions at WNS and GE Capital International Services. She has a B.D.S. from the University of Mumbai.

Sanjay Dutt
Senior Vice President, Global Head of Human Resources Centers of Excellence

Sanjay Dutt leads the global capability development, recruitment, digital HR operations, employee relations, statutory compliance and internal communication functions at EXL. He also leads EXL’s initiatives for employee wellness and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and is a member of the Operating Committee.

Sanjay has more than 30 years of experience creating and delivering global human capital strategies. His current focus is developing an integrated talent strategy in line with EXL’s long-term strategy. He is building and accelerating a talent ecosystem which combines talent acquisition and internal talent development to proactively build a digital and domain talent pool. He has established a futuristic digitally transformed HR operations, talent management & learning ecosystem at EXL, which has helped in expanding talent bases across geos, driven enhanced employee experience, improved productivity and accelerated on a self-driven digital learning culture.

Sanjay joined EXL in 2010. Prior to joining EXL, Sanjay was a partner at Accenture and a held global leadership roles driving HR and talent strategies at American Express.

Sanjay holds a bachelors degree in electronics from Delhi University and a master’s degree from the Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi. Sanjay is part of the NASSCOM Policy Advisory Group (Labour), a member of the Chandigarh University Corporate Advisory Board and is a frequent speaker at global learning and HR forums.

Amy Lupinski
Senior Vice President, Human Resources

Amy Lupinski has overall responsibility for the business HR function, where she leads a team of HR business partners who execute EXL’s global talent strategy. She leads strategic workforce planning and program execution, attraction and retention activities, employee engagement, identification of talent needs and gaps and development of leadership to enable business success. Amy is a member of the Operating Committee.

Amy joined EXL in 2022. Prior to that, she spent more than 25 years with IBM and IBM’s infrastructure services spin-off, Kyndryl. Amy held multiple global HR leadership roles within a large, complex matrixed environment which included software development, research labs, sales and services. She has experience in workforce strategy and planning, leadership and succession planning, employee relations, compensation and benefits, employee communications and mergers and acquisitions. Amy builds trusted relationships with business leaders and designs and executes HR programs and practices with data insights, simplicity and transparency.

Amy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a master's degree in labor and industrial relations from the University of Illinois.

Raghav Jaggi
Senior Vice President, Insurance

Raghav Jaggi leads EXL’s life insurance and annuity business and is a member of the Operating Committee. In this role, he leads the strategy for transformation offerings, client relationship management and business development with insurance companies in life and annuity, finance, accounting and risk practice areas.

Raghav has more than 20 years of experience providing expert services to the insurance industry. He joined EXL in 2003 and has played a pivotal role in developing EXL’s relationships with leading insurance organizations in the U.S., UK, and Europe. He guides the development and delivery of digital transformation initiatives that help our clients improve customer experience, efficiency & regulatory compliance, and increase revenue. Raghav is passionate about helping clients solve their most pressing challenges through data-driven decision-making and builds long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. He has been instrumental in redesigning the next-generation operating models for leading insurance carriers through digital services, claims automation, and advanced analytics.

Raghav has a bachelor's degree from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi, and attended the Advanced Management Program at Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

Jim Arslan
Senior Vice President, Marketing Solutions

Jim Arslan leads EXL’s marketing services and co-leads EXL’s insurance analytics practice. He is a member of EXL’s Operating Committee.

Jim joined EXL in 2015 through the acquisition of RPM Direct and led the successful integration of RPM Direct with EXL’s analytics team. He has built on RPM Direct’s deep expertise in direct marketing and data enrichment for insurance clients to expand into services for the banking and fintech sectors.

Jim has more than 25 years of experience in analytics, database marketing, new business development, strategic planning, and management. Prior to RPM Direct, he was the COO for Masada Group Technologies, and a Vice President at TransUnion.

He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in accounting from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania.

Kurt Anderson
Senior Vice President/GM, Payment Services

Kurt Anderson leads EXL’s payment services for the healthcare insurance marketplace and is a member of the Operating Committee. As practice general manager, he oversees EXL’s global operations in this area, leading transformational change through deployment of digital solutions, identifying strategic areas of growth, building and maintaining key client relations, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

Kurt joined EXL in 2020, bringing more than 35 years of leadership, innovation, and success in healthcare payment integrity and cost containment to the firm. He previously led Change Healthcare’s payment integrity practice and held senior leadership roles within Equiclaim Inc., MultiPlan, Concentra/Viant, and Beech Street.

Kurt holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Sterling College and master of business administration in Health Care Administration from Oral Roberts University.

Rowan McGrath
Senior Vice President, International

As the head of EXL’s international markets, Rowan McGrath is responsible for managing EXL’s business across the UK, Ireland, Europe, and South Africa. Rowan is based in EXL’s Dublin office and is a member of the Operating Committee.

Rowan has more than 30 years of experience in the IT industry. He started his career as an army officer in the Irish Defence Forces before moving on to work with BT Group, CSC, and DXC Technology in a variety of sales, client management, and senior leadership roles. Rowan is passionate about helping clients make sense of data to drive their business forward by modernizing mainstream IT, integrating digital innovations, and deploying new solutions at scale.

Rowan holds a bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering from the University of Galway and a master’s degree in business from University College London.

Joel Katz
Senior Vice President & Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer

 

Joel Katz is EXL’s Chief Compliance & Ethics Officer and is a member of the Operating Committee. In this role, Joel and the Compliance Team help ensure that EXL operates with the highest levels of integrity and in compliance with the law, as set forth in the company’s Code of Conduct & Ethics.

Joel joined EXL in 2023. He brings significant experience building structures, programs and training that promote cultures of integrity and compliance and drive high levels of employee engagement.  Prior to joining EXL, Joel served as the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for Booz Allen Hamilton, a publicly traded management consulting firm.  Previously, Joel served as Chief Integrity & Compliance Officer for Resideo Technologies, Inc., a publicly traded global homes and distribution business that spun-off from Honeywell in 2018, He also served as Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer for CA, Inc., a publicly traded provider of business software and professional services that was acquired by Broadcom, Inc. in 2018. He began his career with Williams Mullen L.L.P. (formerly Maupin Taylor & Ellis, P.A.), where he devoted his practice to representing management in labor and employment-related legal issues.

Joel earned his Juris Doctor with distinction from Hofstra University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan. He serves as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau National Programs, an Advisory Board Member to the W. Michael Hoffman Center for Business Ethics at Bentley University, and an Advisory Board Member to Compliance Week Magazine.
