A Risk Assessment Case Study

Our client, a leading mortgage bank in the US, was falling behind schedule to report to the Audit Committee on key risks faced by the bank. EXL deployed a multi-disciplinary team to help the client develop a risk based internal audit plan and follow through.

Results

We created a consolidated view of risk by summarising risks and controls across businesses and geographies. Our assessment helped the client streamline controls, achieve operational efficiencies and timely report to the Audit Committee.

Benchmarking against best IT practices leads to process improvement

A Technology Risk Case Study

A Fortune 400 company, provider of integrated document management solutions, needed help to review its key IT processes spread across multiple locations in the UK and US. Lack of documented processes coupled with no clear cut definition of roles and responsibilities resulted in control weaknesses.
Results

We identified gaps and pain areas by benchmarking the existing process against best practices. We systematically documented critical processes and recommended controls re-design. Finally, we successfully implemented re-designed processes and controls across the organisation.
