 After
having worked with two of the Big Four accounting
firms it was a tough decision to join EXL
Risk Advisory almost two years ago when the
practice was just starting up. I started off
as just a team member at Europe’s largest
insurance and financial services organization.
During my time at EXL Risk Advisory, I have
shouldered additional responsibility at each
successive engagement, and just recently,
I led a multi-location, 18-member engagement
team for a Fortune 50 Client in the US. I
have also been given the opportunity to participate
in the business development and recruitment
initiatives of the Practice. EXL Risk Advisory
has truly provided me with a diverse platform
to learn and grow on both professional as
well as personal front.
The last two years have been a great experience
for me – I’ve learned more than
I thought I could, I’ve been given the
freedom to express myself in every way, I’ve
worked with a great lot of people and I’ve
visited places I could have only dreamed about.

at EXL is like being Charlie in the Chocolate
Factory: there are so many choices, it is
hard to make up your mind."
EXL has provided me the opportunity to experience
a plethora of industries: banking, IT, consumer
goods and manufacturing. My association with
EXL has been for a short span but these few
months have taught me the art of working with
clients in cross-cultural settings. Having
worked with clients across geographies, I
have imbibed a flavor of diverse cultures-
experiences that have been the key to my personal
development and global outlook.

 I
joined EXL Risk Advisory as a Senior Associate
in February 2004 and given that I was new
to the consulting world, I expected to be
‘broken in’ gradually. But at
EXL Risk Advisory, I found myself in an environment
where teammates were ready to make every effort
to assist me, and the management provided
ample opportunities to maximize my potential.
I have seen a significant growth in my role,
responsibilities and management expectations
in my 22 months with EXL Risk Advisory. What
started as a technical writing role at global
client locations has evolved into leading
and executing complex engagements, identifying
new opportunities from existing clients and
assisting in business development initiatives.
EXL Risk Advisory provides a challenging and
fun-filled environment to work in and I cannot
remember a time that I've enjoyed my work
