Wednesday, June 25, 2014

EXL (NASDAQ: EXLS), a leading business process solutions company, today announced that Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina (BCBSNC) has implemented CareRadius®, the care management platform created by EXL’s health technology group EXL Landa. As part of the platform launch, BCBSNC will also use Landa’s CareAffiliate® product to improve provider interaction with medical management programs.

BCBSNC has partnered with EXL Landa since 2003 when it installed MaxMC, Landa’s predecessor to the CareRadius platform.

“Our goal is to support our customers with the programs and tools they need to better manage health conditions and improve their quality of life,” said Dr. John Fong, Vice President and Senior Medical Director for Healthcare Management, BCBSNC. “We appreciate the expertise EXL Landa brings to our medical management programs. Tools like CareRadius and CareAffiliate improve our ability to support better health outcomes for our customers.”

CareRadius integrates real-time data from multiple sources for closer collaboration between patients, providers and insurers, enabling better care coordination. CareAffiliate integrates member data and connects remote providers to clinical staff, while streamlining care functions including authorization and referrals, inpatient admission notifications, and program enrollment requests.

“EXL Landa is pleased to play a part in facilitating BCBSNC’s ongoing pursuit of industry leading best practices for collaborative care and health management,” said Jay Dunlap, Senior Vice President, EXL, and head of EXL Landa. “This expansion of our relationship will allow both organizations to achieve our common goal of improving member health and care quality.”
