EXL Healthcare Names Former Cleveland Clinic Wellness President to Lead Platform Technology Business
Tuesday, June 23, 2015EXL (NASDAQ: EXLS), a leading business process solutions company, today announced it has named Scott McFarland as Senior Vice President and General Manager of EXL Healthcare’s Platform Technology business (formerly EXL Landa). McFarland is a healthcare transformation leader and former executive at numerous leading institutions.

McFarland most recently served for two years as interim CEO for the Hawaii Health Services Corporation (HHSC), where he built turnaround strategies to improve care quality, increase revenue, reduce expenses, and increase physician, patient, and employee satisfaction. Prior to HHSC, McFarland served as Wellness President at Cleveland Clinic, where he pioneered the launch of their clinically-validated wellness interventions and expanded their online presence including through social media. While at Healthways, McFarland led innovation, product development, product management and scaled, differentiated population health products, such as SilverSneakers, nationally through new network provider concepts and advanced health information technology approaches. In 2003, he founded and served as CEO of SimplyWell LLC, which developed one of the first clinically-integrated online disease prevention platforms for physician practices, health insurers and large employers.
