Pierre -Joubert De Villiers

Pierre-Joubert De Villiers is the Geography Head for South Africa at EXL, responsible for leading the company’s operations and continued growth across the region. He joined EXL in June 2017 and has held several senior leadership roles across operations, service delivery, sales, customer experience and client management.

With more than 20 years of experience in the contact centre and business process management industry, Pierre has extensive experience across both the UK and US markets, with particular expertise in the insurance sector. Throughout his career, he has led large-scale customer service, sales, retention and claims operations, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer outcomes, operational excellence and sustainable business performance.

During his tenure at EXL, Pierre has played an important role in the growth and development of the South Africa business, working across diverse client portfolios and supporting the expansion of EXL’s capabilities in the region. His leadership approach places a strong emphasis on people and culture, client partnerships, consistent operational delivery, and the use of digital, analytics and AI to continuously improve the customer and employee experience.

Pierre holds a Certificate in Sales and Marketing from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and a Diploma in Contact Centre Management.
