Radha Ramaswami Basu

Radha Ramaswami Basu is Executive Vice President, Head of iMerit at EXL and a member of the executive committee. In this role, Radha will continue to lead the iMerit business and maintain close relationships with leading foundation model and AI product companies. 

Radha joined EXL in 2026 through the acquisition of iMerit, a recognized leader in AI model training, evaluation, and reinforcement learning. As the founder and CEO, Radha built iMerit into an innovative provider of expert data for AI. Global leaders in generative AI, healthcare AI and autonomous mobility turned to iMerit to train and tune their multimodal AI models. 

Prior to iMerit, Radha was the chairman and CEO of SupportSoft, leading the company through initial and secondary public offerings on Nasdaq. Radha also spent 20 years at Hewlett-Packard where she founded the company’s operations in India and set up its first software center in Bangalore.

Outside of EXL, Radha is known as a champion of and thought leader in technology, business innovation, and inclusion. She currently serves on the boards of Jhumki Basu Foundation, Illuminate Advisors, and Santa Clara University Miller Center for Social Entrepreneurship. She co-founded the Anudip Foundation, which has provided training and employment in digital and data careers over 700,000 young people and marginalized women. She has won multiple global awards and is a frequent speaker at conferences like HumanX and TechCrunch.
