Keith Johnson
Senior Vice President and Global Insurance Digital Lead

Keith leads the ideation, incubation, go-to-market and business operations for all new digital insurance industry solutions for P&C and L&A at EXL. He is a proven executive with over 30 years of diverse business experience. Previously, Keith was a Partner at Accenture where he ran the Life insurance e-commerce practice, CRM practice and Insurance BPO practice. He also served as Client Partner for a number of large insurance carriers and served as the COO / CIO for Marketplace by John Hancock. Today at EXL, Keith’s main focuses are helping build new growth engines using digital technologies, leading the global L&A strategy, managing analyst relations, overseeing insurance consulting for P&C and L&A, and ensuring a differentiated customer experience through digital enablement leveraging EXL’s proprietary software assets (LifePRO® and LISS), analytics and operations management. Keith earned his AB in Computer Science from Brown University.

Dave Shively
Vice President, LifePRO® Business Unit Lead

Dave Shively has been with EXL for approximately two years and runs our Life & Annuity Platforms business unit. He has over thirty years of software development and delivery experience, twenty-five of which was spent managing and implementing enterprise insurance applications. He has helped carriers of all sizes transform their businesses by successfully converting from legacy applications to flexible, modern core systems. Prior to coming to EXL, he spent 5 years with Oracle where he was in a similar role leading several software products including the Oracle Insurance Policy Administration solution.

Thomas Organ
Vice President and Client Executive, Life and Annuities

Tom leads the sales and marketing efforts for LifePRO® and the LifePRO® Digital Suite platforms. He has over 30 years of success in management consulting, solving complex business problems and creating business value in the life and annuities insurance markets.

As an EXL client executive, he works with insurers to identify opportunities and develop solutions, as well as provide executive client relationship support. He has led and grown businesses, developed new product and service offerings, and provided strategic consulting services. He plays an integral part in the overall strategy and direction of EXL’s life and annuity platform as well as TPA services. Tom has published articles and represents EXL at conferences and with the analyst community.

Steve Herker
Vice President, LifePRO® Product Owner

Steve brings extensive insurance administration solution consulting experience to his role as the LifePRO® Product Owner. In his role as the LifePRO® Product Owner, Steve is responsible for establishing LifePRO® Product Roadmap and directing the evolution of the LifePRO® platform. Steve has led many successful client implementation and conversion projects and is experienced in developing repeatable platform conversion and upgrade models.

Steve is a graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, and longtime resident of Indianapolis, IN.

Ashish Makhijani
Vice President, LifePRO® Product Development

Ashish leads Digital Product Development with L&A Insurance vertical at EXL. Experienced leader with 24 years of experience in Insurance Platforms, IT delivery, Digital Transformation, business consulting and strategy. Prior to EXL Ashish has worked with Capgemini, Dell and Aegon Transamerica Insurance verticals. Offers sound understanding of technology, and domain for Life, Annuities, and Health products. Successful track record of managing large implementations, TPA business, and PAS platform development. Significant experience managing Product releases, leading distributed agile delivery teams, DevOps, Automation and Cloud hosting projects in global delivery model. Ashish has Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MBA with honors from University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Fellowship with Life Management Institute.

Ajmal Malik
Vice President, LDS Product Manager

Ajmal Malik is one of the key architects that has designed and built the LDS platform and subsequently delivered and implemented the solution successfully throughout the US, UK and Europe for the past decade to a number of clients. Ajmal has been building and implementing software systems within the life, banking and the financial services sector for over 20 years. He started his career as a Business Analyst leading to a number of roles around platforms across the financial services sector. Ajmal is responsible for establishing the LDS Product Roadmap and directing the evolution of the platform.
